Description:

This course is designed to help both field and office personnel gain an understanding of how to read blueprint drawings. It will help you understand what you are looking at and what you are looking for.

You’ll learn about drawing types, scale and the interrelationships between drawings and how project information is conveyed throughout a set of construction  documents.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify and describe various types of construction drawings, including their fundamental components and features.
  • Identify and describe the purpose of the basic construction drawing components.
  • Identify and explain the significance of various drawing elements, such as lines of construction, symbols, and grid lines.
  • Identify and explain the use of dimensions and various drawing scales.
  • Identify and describe how to use the engineer’s and architect’s scales.
