This Construction Law class will review three topics important to your company: Project Delivery Methods, Job Documentation and Independent Contractor Issues.

Project Delivery Methods will take a deep dive into the differences between design-bid-build, construction management and design-build.

Job Documentation – Education on the type of documentation produced in the field, such as Daily Reports, Timecards, Field Authorizations, Field Correspondence and more. This module reviews: the importance of documentation to running a good business, what is the minimum content each document should include, and what to include and not include in each.

Independent Contractor – A full explanation of what a contractor needs to know what is an independent contractor. Explaining what an Independent Contractor is, an education on the relevant state laws (ie workers compensation and unemployment) as well as the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act. Course also discusses Misclassification.

This course is offered as part of our Construction Law series.
