What: Planning & Scheduling

This course introduces the stages of project planning and how to effectively implement a plan. Discussions include coordination with other contractors, materials, equipment, tools, and labor throughout the planning process.

Objectives:

  • Describe the link between planning and scheduling

  • Explain how the planning process is carried out

  • Create a step-by-step task list to complete a project

  • Identify resources needed when planning a job

  • Assign resources to each activity

  • Conduct a job analysis

  • Develop a bar chart

  • Explain the purpose of network diagrams

  • Identify the benefits of short-interval schedules
