Project Management 3: Applied

Put your Project Management expertise into action with seven interactive modules that enable you to focus on a pre-approved mid to high level project of your choice. With your own scenario as the case study, you will demonstrate your skills and implement knowledge gained from the prior certificate courses throughout all phases of the Project Management Lifecycle, gaining expert feedback and coaching along the way. The workshop closes with a final presentation, allowing you to showcase your mastery of project management through practical application.

What you will learn:

  • Develop a project charter for an approved project.
  • Identify key stakeholders and the impact each can have for the project.
  • Define the project requirements, create a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and establish a schedule.
  • Identify project risks and impact of each on the project.
  • Monitor and control all aspects of the project.
  • Prepare a cost management plan for the project.
  • Develop a resource plan for the project.
  • Execute a project close-out and effectively present key aspects of the project.
  • Present a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the project life cycle.

Format Online | Self-Paced | Interactive

Students complete a sequence of online modules at their own pace, as their schedule permits. Each module may include assigned readings or media, online quizzes, discussion boards, and more. The instructor will guide you through the course, provide feedback, and assessments of your learning.

Time Commitment 7-Weeks | 35 Hours

You can expect to commit up to approximately five (5) hours per week to readings, exercises, and assignments. Students have up to 10-weeks to complete the workshop.

Credentials Awarded Upon completion of the course, you will earn 3.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and a Wentworth verified digital credential/certificate of completion to showcase on their resume and online channels. A CEU is not an academic credit; however, it is a nationally recognized standard of documenting the successful completion of non-degree professional training. One CEU is equivalent to ten instructional hours.

Schedule Flexible (Up to 10-Weeks)

This course offers continuous enrollment. You will begin the course when you are ready and have ten weeks to complete the seven modules required to earn your certificate.
