What: Construction Pre-Planning for Safety & Success
Proper construction pre-planning can mean the difference between a job that comes in on time and under budget—or one that negatively impacts your reputation. It can also determine whether a job is completed safely or experiences serious accidents.

This 4-hour  ( two part) virtual course will provide tools and strategies to protect workers, support compliance, and improve project outcomes. The instructor will guide participants through an effective construction project pre-planning process.

• Timing of planning sessions/meetings
• Who should be involved and when
• Multi-timed planning sessions
• Major considerations:
 ° Estimating – Safety has a cost
 ° Safety management strategies, policies, and programs
 ° Site layout
 ° Sub-contractor requirements
 ° Formal hazard identification and controls
 ° Site evaluation
 ° Emergency response
• Statistical analysis – Measures of success
• Motivation programs to encourage a positive safety culture
