Description:
The National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) developed the Instructor Certification Training Program (ICTP) as part of the accreditation process. This program ensures the uniform and consistent delivery of training using the NCCER curriculum.
Experienced teachers and craft professionals alike learn how to utilize the NCCER curriculum and the NCCER Registry.
Upon successful completion, participants will be certified to teach the NCCER Craft, Safety, and/or Management Training classes in their area(s) of documented expertise.
NCCER offers curricula in over 70 craft areas to ensure that our workforce meets the highest industry standards. The demand for skilled craft professionals is constantly increasing.
Using NCCER’s industry-recognized, portable credentials can build the foundation for your workforce development strategy.
CRAFT INSTRUCTOR CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience at a minimum journey- or technician-level (at least four years) in their area of expertise
OR
• a minimum of three year’s experience as a certified teacher in a vocational / technical construction or maintenance-related training program.
