Joshua Reap, President & CEO of Associated Builders & Contractors NH/VT Chapter will Represent Builders on New CouncilJoshua Reap

Joshua Reap, president & CEO of the Associated Builders and Contractors New Hampshire/Vermont Chapter (ABC) has been named by NH Governor Chris Sununu to be the NH Builder’s representative on the newly established NH Council on Housing Stability

In this role, Reap will work with a distinguished cross section of New Hampshire leaders to update the statewide homelessness plan and address broader issues with housing affordability and stability.

“The significant challenges of homelessness, low vacancy rate and rising housing costs threaten the quality of life in all New Hampshire communities,” said Reap.  “I am humbled to be part of the important effort to confront these issues. As the builders’ representative, I look forward to helping create long-lasting solutions.”

With nearly 20 years of experience in construction and public policy, Reap brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the council. Reap is familiar with the regulatory and workforce challenges that in part contribute to the rising costs of construction.

“Our builders are on the front line of adding new stock to the housing market. There are challenges associated with construction that may not immediately come to mind, such as workforce shortages. We’ll bring that perspective and creative ideas to the council discussions,” added Reap.

ABC NH/VT Chapter represents nearly 250 builders and industry-related firms in New Hampshire and Vermont. The association’s membership includes all specialties within the construction industry and is comprised primarily of firms that perform work in the residential, industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors of the industry. ABC is recognized as one of the leading organizations representing America’s business community and the construction industry.
