Concord, NH — Meridian Construction recently completed a significant renovation to the 3rd floor of Concord Hospital. The project began as a refresh of 12 patient rooms, one nurse's station, four non-patient rooms, as well as refitting four existing patient rooms into a new Med Room, new Family Room, and new office and storage room. Meridian was also hired to replace all of the corridor flooring and handrails.
Tight schedules allowed only 5 weeks to complete this project so that hospital patients could return to the floor. After about a week in, it was requested that all of the ceiling grid needed to be replaced, as well as the flooring in the patient rooms and bathrooms, without any changes to the completion date.
With two weeks left in the schedule, it was also requested that Meridian replace the existing fire alarm devices and relocate them as necessary to meet new codes. Meridian was able to successfully fit all within the short timeframe of what was an 8,220 square foot project. Working closely with Meridian, Lavallee Brensinger Architects of Manchester, NH served as the architect for the extensive renovation.
