Ovide Lamontagne Earns ABC's Endorsement for NH Governor
Following discussion at the September 20th ABC Board of Directors meeting, the ABC leadership voted to endorse Ovide Lamontagne for NH Governor. Ovide’s positions on reducing business taxes, health care reform and his priority focus on our economy and job creation are important to ABC. He is very familiar with construction industry issues and at meetings with representatives from ABC’s leadership has demonstrated he is not only interested but passionate about our pro-free enterprise principals and helping to prevent and resolve issues important to ABC members.
Ovide is one of New Hampshire’s most respected business and charitable leaders. Born and raised in Manchester, Ovide is a fourth-generation New Hampshire native, who attended local Manchester schools; he is a 1975 graduate of Trinity High School and Ovide is a 1979 graduate of The Catholic University of America. He was a high school social studies teacher for three years before attending the University of Wyoming College of Law where he received his J.D. with honors in 1985. Ovide returned to Manchester to practice business law with the law firm of Devine, Millimet & Branch. During his private practice, Ovide has been recognized as one of New Hampshire’s top business attorneys. When not at home in Manchester, Ovide might be found at the family camp on Lake Umbagog where he and his family enjoy hunting, fishing and snowmobiling.
