This week we celebrate Women in Construction Week (WIC) and the many women who work in and make important contributions to our industry every day! We are pleased to share the stories from many of the women who work and live in NH and VT. The project was created in partnership with I Build NH and NAWIC Granite State Chapter.

What is your education/training background?
20 years Human Resource Payroll/Accounting Experience and OSHA30 certified

How did you find yourself working in the construction industry?
I was looking to work for a company that was about teamwork – what better than Construction!

What do you enjoy most about your career?
Participating in the building process is like watching the future unfold with every completed project.

What’s the most interesting project you’ve worked on?
If I can only pick one it would have to be Riverbend Mills. It was built in 1895 and is a huge old brick mill building abandoned for generations. I enjoyed watching it come back to usable space again instead of just being torn down.

What advice do you have for women who want to work in the construction industry?
Being confident does not mean you can not ask for help when you need it.

Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I am truly grateful to have become a part of Team BPS.

NAWIC advocates for the value and impact of women builders, professionals and tradeswomen in all aspects of the construction industry.
