MANCHESTER JOB CORPS PROJECT UPDATE (02/06/2012)
On January 30th the US Department of Labor issued the solicitation for the Manchester Job Corps Center project (bids due March 31). As previously reported to members, the project is once again being issued with a Project Labor Agreement (PLA) requirement. In addition to other work rules and conditions, the 48 page PLA requires all the contractors on the project to utilize union workers and to pay into the union funds. ABC is aggressively fighting this PLA requirement and will keep members informed of the status. Please contact ABC with any questions.
