2010 EXCELLENCE IN CONSTRUCTION AWARDS TIMELINE ANNOUNCED
The Excellence In Construction Awards Committee has determined the timeline and all entry criteria for the 2010 awards program. The entry form will be distributed to members and posted on our website by the end of January. The deadline for submission is July 9th, 2010. Judges will begin the judging process the week of July 12 and the judging will be complete by August 13. Notification will go out to all winners the week of August 23 and the event production, invitation process and advertising/sponsorship solicitation will continue leading up to the event, which will be held on October 28. Watch your ABC communications for entry information and opportunities to “mentoring” support for submitting an entry. Any member who would like assistance understanding the awards criteria, entry process or tips to submit an award winning entry, is encouraged to contact the chapter office.
This year the committee has added the opportunity for awards in the areas of Sustainable Building and Community Service. Upon reviewing the entries, judges may determine awards for projects that demonstrate excellence in the areas of sustainable building and community service. All entrants are encouraged to include reference to their efforts with sustainable construction practices and community service participation related to the project entry in their project narrative.
To be entered projects must be located in the New England area and must have been completed between 1/1/08 and 1/1/10.
