Employers must now use the updated Employment Eligibility Verification Form (Form I-9), effective February 2, to avoid fines and penalties. The new form is revised to mandate that all documents presented must not be expired. The new I-9 Form can be downloaded at

Also, the Family and Medical Leave Act poster has been revised to reflect the new rules that provide additional leave for military families. Employers covered by FMLA are required to place the notice in a conspicuous place where employees can see it.
