ABC's Insurance Trustees who oversee the Merit Choice voluntary benefit programs, including dental, disability and life products, have announced that all ABC members participating in the program will receive a quarterly premium holiday. Like the ABC Workers' Comp Trust, the Merit Choice Insurance Trust pools all participating member premiums and any profit generated during a policy period accumulate for the benefit of the participants, rather than an Insurance company. Based on favorable claim experience, the trustees approved the premium holiday. Members can expect to receive a quarterly credit equaling 25% of their monthly premium.
