OK, no offense intended, but it is said that most issues confronted in the workplace or on jobsites are management related. Clearly, especially when competition is as aggressive as it is now and there are no margins for errors, effective management and leadership skills are important at all levels.

CREW LEADER SEMINARS:

Drug & Other Problem Behaviors, How to Identify and Resolve Problem Behaviors

Friday, October 16, 8AM – 11AM

A highly interactive and practical presentation which will teach crew leaders how to identify and address problem behaviors.


Establishing Priorities, How to Get the Work Done on Time.

Friday, November 13, 8AM – 11AM

This interactive presentation will teach crew leaders how to get the job done by establishing priorities, important but not crucial to important and crucial.


Communication, How to Give GREAT Instructions.

Friday, December 11, 8AM – 11AM

Crew leaders will learn to identify the difference between a good instruction and a great instruction, how to get “buy in”, how to problem solve and develop criteria to inspect what you expect.

A panel discussion will include what every supervisor needs to know about each area and what is their role in supervising the work of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing activities.


HR For Non HR Professionals

Friday, December 18, 8AM – 11AM

Discussion will include legal considerations and responsibilities of supervisors running a job and a crew.


LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT:

2009 – 2010 Future Leaders In Construction Program

This will be the NH/VT Chapters 3rd offering of this popular program.

8 Sessions – Third Wednesday of each month.

October 21, 2009 – May 19, 2010, 8AM – 12:20PM

An interactive exchange to develop results orientated leadership for the emerging leaders of ABC member firms and the construction industry. Lecture, class discussion, reading assignments from top leadership and management publications and class review of the assignments makes for a dynamic program.
